expert : Walter Bortz MD
Introduction
by Mariana Bozesan I first met Dr. Bortz in 2003 when he was recommended to me as one of the most important and influential experts on aging worldwide. A few weeks later, I interviewed Dr. Bortz for the first time and I remember how impressed I was by his compassion, vitality, level of energy and of course deep-seated wisdom. In his seventies, Dr. Bortz, who is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, is still running marathons and lives a very active life style traveling the world and teaching about health and vitality. The author of more than 150 scientific articles and four bestselling books, Dr. Bortz teaches how to age successfully and why exercise, a natural diet, sleep and rest, as well as a sense of humor and optimism are crucial for living a life of meaning, creativity, independence, and vitality until the last day of your life. We became friends instantaneously and it is a great honor for me to welcome Dr. Bortz to the Wisdom Circle. ![]()
