I have met Dr. Eisler not too long after the September 11th attack on the World Trade center, when I interviewed her in her beautiful and sunlight flooded home in California’s Carmel by the Sea. I remember that day as if it were yesterday because I fell in love with Riane instantaneously. A profusely educated woman, Dr. Eisler’s outstanding intelligence, wit, and deep caring for women’s and children’s causes worldwide won me over in a heart beat. As a result, I have been a supporter of the Spiritual Alliance to Stop Intimate Violence (SAIV), which she started with Peace Nobel Price Laureate Betty Williams, ever since.
