Introduction

by Mariana Bozesan

Like many of the amazing sages whose work is featured on this site, I first encountered the work of Dr. Fred Gallo at a Tony Robbins event. Dr. Gallo was one of Tony’s featured guest speakers at a Life Mastery seminar in Fiji, in the South Pacific. There, Dr. Gallo introduced us to a fascinating new branch of psychology which he has co-invented. It is called energy psychology and combines Eastern and Western healing techniques to promote physical, emotional and mental health as well as positive lifestyle changes.

At the time, I had no idea that Dr. Gallo was one of the founding fathers of the entire field of energy psychology. I only knew that it was the first time I’d ever heard a classically trained psychologist talk about Eastern healing systems like kinesiology and acupressure. And not only was he talking about them, he was demonstrating how they could be used to promote rapid progress in therapy by transforming deep-seated behavioral patterns. At that point, Dr. Gallo inquired as to whether there was anyone in the audience who was dealing with a health related problem at that very moment, and asked if they might volunteer for a demonstration. A woman with a headache raised her hand, and we all watched closely as she performed a series of light taps on various points of her own head, neck and arms under his supervision. Afterward, the woman reported that her headache had not only improved, but had completely disappeared. Dr. Gallo showed us how simple tapping could be used to treat everything from food cravings to depression, and I found myself wanting to learn more about his techniques.

Almost two years later, I’m thrilled to report that not only are the techniques effective, but are being offered here to the Sageera community at large. These techniques bring about quick, powerful changes in negative emotions, thoughts and behavior patterns and are particularly useful when traditional therapy approaches are not working. Best of all: they are fast, simple and accessible to everyone—unlike traditional psychotherapy which is slow, complicated and often prohibitively expensive.

Though I already mentioned that I stumbled upon Dr. Gallo’s work in the same way I encountered many of the other sages on this site, one other similarity I want to emphasize is that he is an incredibly caring and loving human being. There are all sorts of people doing extraordinary work in the world, but in my experience it’s only the truly caring, heart-driven practitioners who are best equipped to truly help humanity in our struggles. Dr. Fred Gallo is just such a person who combines wisdom with compassion to create new opportunities for profound positive changes in our day-to-day lives, including permanent weight management and healing.

As a psychologist who believes in alternative methods of healing, I have practiced over the years many different techniques in order to help my patients conquer their weight related problems. One of the most powerful techniques also happens to be the simplest — a refreshingly easy little tapping method I developed, based entirely on the way energy flows through our bodies. This technique is part of a set of methods known as Bioenergy Therapy, which exists in the same branch of medicine as acupressure and acupuncture1.As a psychologist who believes in alternative methods of healing, I have practiced over the years many different techniques in order to help my patients conquer their weight related problems. Eliminate Emotional Pain: The Case of Barbara
"How often do we eat when we feel bad or good for that matter? By doing that we very often hope to connect with ourselves when love and connection with the outside world seems out of reach for the moment."

Over the years I’ve seen miraculous results when treating patients. One that comes to the forefront of my mind is a story of a patient whom had gone through many years of suffering before she was finally cured. I saw this patient 10 years ago when I had the opportunity to treat her. Barbara, a 33-year-old woman whom I had treated many years previously returned to receive further help. While the earlier treatment had benefited her, there was an event that occurred in her childhood for which I was not able to help. That event was a rape. As a 13-year-old girl her boyfriend, a few years older than she, raped her. She never told her parents about the rape, but instead suffered silently. She would frequently experience nightmares, turned to drugs and alcohol and in many ways was highly depressed. She believed that she was not worthwhile and, as perplexing as it may seem, she even blamed herself for the rape.Over the years I’ve seen miraculous results when treating patients. Eliminate Jaw Pain: A Case in Germany
Physical pain can lead to weight gain by interfering with exercise and by looking to food for comfort.

Another case that comes to mind is that of a woman who was suffering a great deal of physical pain. I met her when I recently presented training for professional therapists in Heidelberg, Germany. At the close of the morning of the first day, one of the participants approached me to apologize that she would not be able to attend the remainder of the training since she was suffering from severe pain in her jaw that made it impossible for her to concentrate. Given her description, I assumed that she was suffering from joint dysfunction called tempromandibular TMJ, which can result in rather excruciating pain. She indicated that she was receiving treatment from a dentist and that he was going to give her a splint to wear at night.Another case that comes to mind is that of a woman who was suffering a great deal of physical pain.
