The first museum on the West Coast devoted solely to 20th-century art as well as one of the world's most innovative museums of modern and contemporary art, SFMOMA has had an active Web presence for over nine years (a very long time, when measured in Internet time).

The Education Department at SFMOMA organizes a wide range of programs for audiences of all ages. We offer special exhibition-related events such as artists' talks and lectures; talks and classes about art history; tours for schools, adult groups, and walk-in visitors; family days; monthly hands-on family studios; and creative projects for youths with all levels of familiarity with modern and contemporary art.
