Rebounding

Lose weight, energize your body and enhance your immune system through daily rebounding

by Mariana Bozesan

Rebounding is a simple and yet very powerful exercise which can be performed everywhere you are, even when you travel. Rebounding means to jump slightly up and down like a child. You can do that on your bed — ideal when you travel — or on a rebounder. To achieve optimum results you don’t have to jump hard. It is sufficient when the tips of your toes are still touching the bed when you jump. As a matter of fact, I recommend that every home have a professional rebounder. By using a rebounder for 10 minutes per day you can save on some of your doctor’s visits and bills. That is one of the best return on investments (time-wise and financially) you could ever make, let alone the energy and health you gain by taking charge of your life and well-being.

This simple exercise helps the weight loss and detoxification process, enhances your immune system and helps prevent disease. I believe from experience that using a rebounder daily can function as an insurance policy against disease such as colds, the flu and other minor health challenges.

During a weight loss program, your lymph system is in especially high demand because it helps remove toxins from your body. Through the cleansing process associated with weight loss you may be facing over acidity in your body. Thus, many doctors recommend that everyone get moderate exercise three to four times each week to remove these toxins faster and strengthen the immune system in addition to alkalizing with supergreens and lots of water.

Dr. Dean Ornish's program for reversing heart disease, for example, includes walking 30 minutes daily or 60 minutes every other day. This recommendation is due to the body's built-in need for exercise and movement.

The lymph system, for example, cleanses every cell, carrying nutrients to the cell and waste products away. Yet the lymph is totally dependent on physical exercise to move. Without adequate movement, the cells are left stewing in their own waste products and starving for nutrients, a situation that contributes to arthritis, cancer and other degenerative diseases, as well as aging.

Vigorous exercise such as rebounding is reported to increase lymph flow by 15 to 30 times. Bones become stronger with exercise. According to The New England Journal of Medicine from May 1, 1997, women who exercise regularly reduce their risk of breast cancer by 72%. Losing weight then becomes a positive by-product of healthy living through exercise.

NOTES:
  1. Any rebounder will do the job. However, they differ in quality and some of them can break easily when they are in high demand daily. I personally use a Needak Rebounder because of its excellent quality. The Needak Rebounder can be purchased through: The Raw World (click on "Rebounders" near the bottom of the list in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen).

rebounding is a great idea and lots of fun. The quality of you skin will be effected with regular use, it is youthing at its best. I found my rebounder on Craig's list, just an FYI.
