• To contribute to an enhanced understanding of the past that fairly incorporates women into the historical record by examining it through both global and gender perspectives.


• To enable women to find the confidence, courage, and opportunity to participate fully in the societies they inhabit.


• To foster international dialogues that promote the importance of social, economic, cultural, and political equality.
