In his newly released book "An Assault to Reason" former Vice President Gore shows that only a path of truthfulness, honesty, and responsibility will save us from the hypnosis of social conditioning, political indoctrination and give us back our freedom, liberty, and a safe future for our children and our planet.
I had the honor
to meet former Vice President Al Gore in person during the 2004 peace conference of the Alliance for the New Humanity in Puerto Rico, where he delivered the keynote speech on global warming.
Yesterday, I had the great privilege to meet him again after the launch of his latest book The Assault on Reason in Marin County, California, and I must applaud his high level of integrity and wisdom.
In quoting Gandhi who said that "we must be the change we want to see in the world", Gore reminded us of the responsibility we ALL have with respect to keeping democracy alive in the world.

In showing the critical problems we face, Gore insisted that it would be too simplistic to blame one "elected individual" for what is currently happening in America and in the world for that matter. He went out of his way to encourage Americans to remember the democratic foundations on which this wonderful country was built, and take charge to keep them alive.
At a time when it seems difficult to have "clarity of vision," Gore asked the provocative question "What has happened to our country?" and constructed a path to truthfulness, honesty, and responsibiliuty that moves people away from the social hypnosis of manipulative mass media and political confusion into social responsibility and civil action. His new book is compassionate, courageous and honest. I highly recommend it.
